Original AKAH leather goods are distinguishable from cheap mass-produced goods at first glance. All accessories are German brand materials. Swivels and pliers are supplied by the leading German manufacturer Sprenger, zippers are Opti, rivets come from Wuppertal. Sewing is done with sewing silks from Ansbach, Bavaria.
All leather types come from premium tanneries with recognized eco-standards. The leather hides are not over-sprayed with paint. The natural grain is fully visible. Only high-quality core leather is processed.
The AKAH elk leather comes from Finland. The yak leather comes from small cattle breeders in Mongolia and is tanned in Finland. The fallow leather for dog leashes comes from Alpine cows. AKAH sources buffalo leather from a highly developed quality tannery outside the EU.
The guarantor for AKAH quality, which is world-renowned - unsurpassed - inimitable, is, however, the AKAH saddlery and AKAH hand-stitching. Already in the 1970s, the German leather goods industry relocated its production to Eastern European, African, and Asian countries. Not so the AKAH company!
Loyalty to location - consistency - personnel continuity - a good working atmosphere are the hallmarks of the 165-year-old company. It is successfully managed in the 4th generation by the two great-grandchildren of the founder. Innovation combined with tradition are the strengths they can wield.

Shipping costs are incurred per order, regardless of the order value. The amount of shipping costs depends on where the package is to be delivered. For orders within Germany, we charge a one-time shipping fee of €6.95, regardless of the number and weight of items. This includes the costs for shipping, packaging, and packaging disposal. Returns are free within Germany. A free return label can be conveniently generated via the returns portal, either for self-printing or for showing a QR code. Return costs from abroad are to be borne by the customer.

Products available for immediate delivery will be shipped with DHL on the same day if ordered by 3 PM on weekdays. Within Germany, DHL delivers the package Monday-Saturday within 1-2 business days. If the ordered goods didn't fit (e.g., too small, too large, etc.), you are welcome to exchange them. Please reorder the desired size in the online shop. The unsuitable item can simply be returned using the return label and will be refunded to the original payment method upon receipt of the goods. If you are unsure about your desired size, you can read about the procedure in the FAQ's.
For a free return within Germany, please use the return label, which you can generate yourself in the returns portal. A return from abroad is of course also possible if you sufficiently frank the package.
