Care tips for years of optimal performance from your hunting and winter boots!
How do you guarantee the optimal functionality of your hunting boots over a long period of time? Regular care has an extremely positive influence on the perfect fit, but above all on the lifespan of your hunting boot!

Properly WASHING hunting boots!
After using your winter boots, dust, mud & dirt should be removed with a soft brush as soon as the boot is dry. Please note that you should never use solvents, harsh chemicals or hard brushes, as this will cause permanent damage to the leather. High temperatures (machine washing) or high pressure (pressure washer) can damage parts of the boot.

What should I consider when DRYING hunting boots?
When drying your boots, you should note the following: Remove the footbed and remove water. Stuff hunting boots with newspaper to absorb residual water and repeat this process every 5 minutes until the water is removed. Then let the boot dry in a well-ventilated place and avoid direct heat sources such as radiant heaters, ovens or sunlight.

Important notes on LEATHER CARE for hunting boots:
Occasionally, special impregnation sprays should be applied to maintain the water-repellent properties of textiles and leather.

STORAGE & TRANSPORT of winter boots for hunting:
Even in shoe storage between hunts, a lot can go wrong! Your boots should never be stored in plastic bags or airtight containers. It is therefore recommended to store the boots in well-ventilated places with a constant temperature and away from heat sources to maintain the shape and feel of the leather and textiles. We recommend removing the inner parts of the winter boots (footbed, inner boots, heated insoles and inserts) before a longer period of non-use. Please also note that you should stuff the boots with newspaper when storing them. For transport, e.g. from the car to the high seat, we recommend special boot bags!

Don't listen to others if the sizing chart says true to size

Ordered these Kamik snow boots in my normal size 12 and must say they are true to size . The bonus is that Kamik make a well made product. TOTALLY satisfied

Warm, waterproof. Easy to get on and off. They run slightly small so take that into consideration, other than that, these have been tested during the arctic blast we received here in NJ in 2026. Good traction as well. Just a great boot for deep snow.

Super Schuh zum super Preis. Was ist zu beachten?

Vorweg: klare Kaufempfehlung für diesen Schuh! Ich bin nun mehrmals bei Minus-Temperaturen mehrere Kilometer durch den Schnee gegangen und hoch zufrieden. Der Gummischuh hat selbstverständlich keine Nässe eindringen lassen, der Innenschuh war (nicht selbstverständlich) trocken, die Socken auch. Was ist zu beachten?Sohle: klasse Gummisohle, die einen sicheren Grip hat, außer auf blankem Eis, was seltsamerweise oft vergessen wird. Aber sowie es beim Auftreten auch im festgefahrenen Schnee nur ein wenig knirscht, steht man bombenfest, Gefälle ist kein Problem. Die Sohle hat einen Absatz, Abrollen findet allerdings nur und begrenzt in der zweiten Hälfte eines Schrittes statt. Wer hier volle Torsion erwartet, ist auch beim Balett von Sicherheitsschuhen enttäuscht. Es geht in den Schnee - und das nicht mit den Hacken voran!Temperaturangabe: -40°C? Kann wirklich sein, dass man bis zu dieser Temperatur vor Erfrierungen geschützt ist. Das heißt aber nicht, dass das die "Komforttemperatur" ist. Wie beim Schlafsack auch gibt es hier eine Komforttemperatur, die wenigstens bei -5°C zu sein scheint, darunter wird es zweckerfüllend, irgenwann lebensrettend.Innenschuh: gutes Polyester mit kleiner Memory-Funktion, bisher nicht darinnen geschwitzt. Das dürfte auch so bleiben, wenn es nicht mit Socken aus reiner Wolle kombiniert wird. Er liegt auf der Gummisohle ohne Fußbett, so dass jeder mit relativ dünner Einlegesohle anpassen mag. Alu-kaschiert wäre wohl erste Wahl, ich habe mich für eine Polarfleece-Sohle mit Latex entschieden. Das passt und stoppt das letzte kleine Flutschen des Hackens im Schuh.Schnürung: muss man können. die Haken markieren die Schnittstelle von Schuh und Schaft. Schnürsenkel so weit lösen oder gelöst haben, dass die Schnürsenkel aus den Haken genommen werden können. Dann Schuh festziehen, dann Schnürsenkel in die Ösen Einhängen, danach den Schaft festziehen. Wer so verfährt, hat eine einigermaßen stabile Schuheinstellung, die sich nach dem Anziehen wieder schnell regulieren lässt. Da flutscht auch kein Senkel aus den Ösen und An- und Ausziehen ist recht schnell erledigt.Allgemeines: 1/2 bis 1 Größe größer bestellen. Wem die Farbe des Leders nicht ganz egal ist, der sollte wissen, dass sich straigt geschnittene Hosenbeine gut über den Schaft ziehen lassen. Sollte das Wetter oder die Umgebung empfehlen, den Schuh voll zu nutzen, dürfte auch die Schuhfarbe relativ unwichtig sein. Der unschlagbare Preis hat natürlich auch Auswirkung auf die Dicke des gut verarbeiteten und sauber genähten Spaltleders. Das ist dank der Polsterung und des Innenschuhs aber wirklich zweitrangig und das Leder ist stabil genug.

Super bequem!

Beim ersten Mal anziehen sitzt er ganz schön eng, aber nach einigen Minuten Bewegung darin läuft man wie auf Wolken !

How do exchanges and returns work?

If the ordered goods didn't fit (e.g., too small, too large, etc.), you are welcome to exchange them. Please reorder the desired size in the online shop. The unsuitable item can simply be returned using the return label and will be refunded to the original payment method upon receipt of the goods.
